Before and After

Individual results vary.
What Tox actually is
Tox is our shorthand for botulinum toxin type A, the family of FDA approved injectables that includes Botox. Here is the honest version: every time you frown, squint, or raise your brows, small muscles crease the skin above them. Do that a few hundred thousand times and the crease starts showing up to meetings without you. Tox tells those specific muscles to relax for a few months, so the skin above them stops folding and the line softens.
It is measured in units, and dosing is the whole game. Too little does nothing. Too much and you look surprised at your own reflection. That is why we do not quote units online. Your face is not a template, and at Method of Beauty your dose is mapped to your anatomy, your movement, and how natural you want to look.
Common Tox treatment areas
How Tox works
Your injector watches how your face actually moves, then marks the muscles doing the creasing. This is where training shows, and ours is led by Michele Chahine, PA-C, a master injector who trains other injectors nationwide.
The needle is smaller than the ones used for flu shots by a wide margin. Most appointments take about 15 to 30 minutes, and most people rate it a quick pinch.
No downtime for most people. You can head straight back to work, errands, or lunch. We will give you a short list of things to skip for the rest of the day, like rubbing the area or hot yoga.
Softening starts around day 3 to 7 and fully settles by about two weeks. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, and consistent treatment can train lines to stay softer over time.

Tox, answered honestly
Does it hurt?
Briefly and barely. The needles are tiny and each injection takes a second or two. Most patients describe it as a quick pinch, and the whole visit is usually done in under half an hour.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Expect softening around day 3 to 7, with full results by about two weeks. From there you typically get 3 to 4 months before movement gradually returns. Nothing changes overnight and nothing is permanent, which is part of the appeal.
Will I look frozen?
Not here. Frozen is what happens when dosing ignores anatomy. Our goal is a face that still moves, laughs, and emotes, just without the etched-in lines. If you want people to say you look rested rather than done, you are in the right place.
What is the difference between Tox and filler?
Tox relaxes the muscles that crease skin when you move. Filler restores volume that time has thinned, in places like cheeks, lips, and smile lines. Lines from movement usually call for Tox, hollows and folds usually call for filler, and plenty of patients benefit from both in one thoughtful plan.
How much does it cost?
Dosing is personal, so we finalize pricing at your consultation rather than guessing online. You can see current pricing on our treatment menu, and our members save 10 to 20 percent on injectables. We also offer financing through Care Credit and Cherry.
Is Tox safe?
Botulinum toxin type A has been FDA approved for cosmetic use for over two decades and has one of the most studied safety records in aesthetics. The key is proper dosing and placement by trained medical hands, which is exactly the point of doing this at a physician-led practice.
